Built for single-phase homes
Most UK homes have a single-phase 230V supply, which caps home charging at about 7.4 kW. Our smart 7kW portable EV charger is designed around exactly that limit.
Type 2 and CCS2
UK vehicles use the Type 2 connector for AC charging and CCS2 for DC, so every UK-market model ships with a Type 2 connector.
Smart charging ready
Private charge points sold in Great Britain must meet the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021. Our smart models support app control, scheduling and load balancing.

Wiring rules matter for UK installers

Which connector do your chargers for the United Kingdom use?
Our chargers for the United Kingdom use the Type 2 (IEC 62196-2) vehicle connector, either as a tethered cable or a socket, which matches the AC inlet on the electric cars sold there.
Are your chargers compliant with the UK smart charge point regulations?
The regulations apply to private charge points sold in Great Britain, such as home and workplace chargers. Requirements depend on the model and use case, so tell us which model you plan to sell and we will review the compliance scope and documentation with you before you order.
Can drivers charge from a normal UK 3-pin socket?
A 13A BS 1363 socket is suitable only for occasional charging at a reduced current. For daily charging we recommend a dedicated circuit with a Type 2 charger such as the EV-ACS3210E, which delivers up to 7.4 kW.
