Engineered for Canadian Homes, Condos and Winters
Canada shares the North American 120/240V, 60 Hz grid and NEMA receptacles, but has its own certification rules and a far colder climate. Our line is configured for both.
240V Level 2 on NEMA 14-50P
Canadian homes use the same 120/240V split-phase supply as the US, so our NEMA 14-50P portable EV chargers and hard-wired stations fit Canadian garages directly.
NACS and J1772 in one catalog
Drivers in Canada are moving to NACS-equipped vehicles while J1772 remains common. We supply both connector versions, plus NACS adapters for mixed fleets.
Built for cold starts
IP65 to IP66 enclosures rated from −30°C to +50°C. For sites that regularly drop below −30°C, tell us the location and we will advise on enclosure and cable options.
Adjustable current
Settings from 10A up to 48A let installers match chargers to 20A to 60A branch circuits, from condo parkades to rural garages.
Canadian approval is its own step
Under the Canadian Electrical Code, EV charging equipment must carry a certification mark from a body accredited by the Standards Council of Canada, such as CSA, cUL or cETL. A mark that covers only the US is not enough on its own.
Tell us you are importing into Canada and we will confirm which models and documents cover Canadian approval before you order. For apartment and condo charging and workplace charging projects, we can also size chargers and load management with your electrician.
| Residential supply | 120/240V split-phase |
|---|---|
| Frequency | 60 Hz |
| Level 2 receptacle | NEMA 14-50 (also NEMA 6-50) |
| AC connector | SAE J1772 and NACS (SAE J3400) |
| DC connector | CCS1 and NACS |
| Product approval | Mark from an SCC-accredited body (CSA, cUL, cETL) |
Charger current vs. circuit size
Canadian installation rules also treat EV charging as a continuous load, so electricians size the branch circuit above the charger's rated current. This is how our adjustable settings map to common breakers.
Reference only. Installations must follow local code and be checked by a licensed electrician. More in our portable EV charger safety guide.
| Charger setting | Minimum circuit | Power at 240V |
|---|---|---|
| 16A | 20A breaker | 3.8 kW |
| 24A | 30A breaker | 5.8 kW |
| 32A | 40A breaker | 7.7 kW |
| 40A | 50A breaker | 9.6 kW |
| 48A | 60A breaker | 11.5 kW |
